While you may be known as “The Wit” in your circles, sometimes a snappy comeback is NOT in order. Although this might be difficult, try putting yourself in the other person’s position to appreciate his or her point of view before you display your wit. Your understanding will enhance communication and ensure that your quick-witted abilities are only used when appropriate. Using wit when appropriate can be impressive and entertaining, but remember that there is a time and a place for everything, including wit.
