Just because someone thinks you are good at something doesn’t mean you should devote your life to it. When I prompt students with the question, “What are your future plans?” a large number of them respond with, “My parents want me to be a doctor.” The funny thing is that I never asked about their parents. I wanted to know their desires. Listen to what your parents, teacher, friends and enemies have to say, but the final decision is yours. Take it all into consideration and then do what you love, not what someone else would love you to do.
