Silence is approval. Have ever stood around and watched as someone got made fun of, or smoked a cigarette, or stole a pack of gum and you didn’t say anything but you knew the act was wrong? You might as well have walked up to the person committing the act and told them that what they did was okay in your books. If you have a friend who is doing something that you disagree with, the only way that he or she will ever know your perspective is if you tell him or her. If you just watch quietly, no one will ever know what goes on in your head. Speak up.
