Don’t be afraid to ask for help or clarification. When people don’t understand, they tend to fill in the gaps themselves and they often fill those gaps in incorrectly. This can lead to stereotyping and/or ignorance. If someone is doing something you are not familiar with, ask that person about it. My experience has taught me that people are very willing to share.
